Cannot connect to one specific website (weather.com)

more options

As of about a week ago I have been unable to connect to https://weather.com using Firefox 78.0.1 64bit on Windows 10 Pro. As far as I have found in my regular browsing this is the only website with this problem; other websites open properly. The problem with https://weather.com occurs no matter how I try to connect - selecting a bookmark that worked in the past or typing directly in the address bar. If I am using an empty blank window what I see is a window that remains blank. The name that I typed in shows in the address bar but there is no padlock icon and no trackers shield. I am attaching a screen shot.

If I open Firefox in a private window I AM able to connect to https://weather.com as I could before in the ordinary window. I am also able to connect to https://weather.com using other browsers.

Any suggestions as to what has happened and how to fix it would be greatly appreciated!

If there is still a problem, Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web link}
by holding down the <Shift> (Mac=Options) key, and then starting Firefox.

A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Safe Mode (not Refresh).

While you are in safe mode;

Try disabling graphics hardware acceleration in Firefox. Since this feature was added to Firefox it has gradually improved but there are still a few glitches.

Thanks for your help. As it turned out, it was a problem with the cookies. When I cleared the cookies for weather.com the problem went away.
