How do I configure TB to mark emails as read with only one click?

Before upgrading, TB marked emails as read after single clicking them (without opening and reading them). Now I have to double click them them and close them. How do I restore the one click solution? Thanks for your help. Bob Hann

If you want them marked as read you have to open the message. You either double click the message and open in a window or tab or you have the Message Pane turned on and read it there with a single click. Pressing F8 toggles the Message Pane on and off.
