Thunderbird transfer of address book but tool bar isn't there in address book

In Thunderbird, I follow the instructions opening tools, select address, then the instructions says to go to "tools" in address book but there is no line with tools listed, it is missing. I have a new computer and Thunderbird installed, I simply wish to add my existing address books from old computer to new.

Click on 'Address Book' If you cannot see 'File' > 'Edit' > 'View' > 'Tools' > 'Help' then you need to enable the 'Menu Bar' Press 'F10' on keyboard to get a temporary 'Menu Bar' 'View' > 'Toolbars' > 'select 'Menu Bar'
