Why does Firefox now default to Wow.com Have I not installed it correctly?
I had to uninstall, then reinstall, Firefox. Now when I open Firefox, the home page is WOW.com. Did I do something wrong?

no, probably you imported IE settings and some malware or doggy app already set the homepage to that site.
Simply go to the preferences and set a new homepage or remove any url to get the firefox default. Also check the search engines and remove any unwanted search engines, as many malware also try to change that
