Username/Passwords lost afre downloading

After loading 54.0.1 my saved passwords username/passwords have dissappeared and I am no longer get able to save. I have looked at options and preferences and they seem ok. I also lost Bookmarks but have recovered them.

Look on your desktop. Do you see a folder called; Old Firefox?
