I am on Firefox V40.0.3, while using the browser over time, it tends to run slow specially in gmail, would take like 5sec for a letter to appear when typing.

This really gives me a hard time as I needed to restart firefox. I've checked the Task Manager during this slow period and it's taking almost 75% of the memory. I am using Intel Corei5 and an 8GB memory. Is there a fix on this? By the way, I noticed this problem after upgrading to Windows 10.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web Link} by holding down the <Shift>
(Mac Options) key, and then starting Firefox. Is the problem still there?
