Collect email addresses from email messages in my inbox?

I would like Thunderbird to collect email addresses from emails in my inbox, and then automatically add those emails to my address book. I saw a very old add-on that purports to do this, but the recent reviews are saying it is out of date.

Is there a way to make Thunderbird do this?
