Nowhere to see download progress without download manager open?

I am mostly fine with the changes in firefox 4.0b7, I get that urls are now shown in the URL abr on mouse over, loading progress is in the tab and right clicking the back button shows the list of sites.

What I can't figure out is how to show the progress of files being downloaded.

The status bar had a very simple indicator...showing the number of files and time remaining.

Is there any equivalent without having to have download manager open?

Chosen solution

The work on removing the Status bar and relocating all items has not been finished yet.

OK thanks. I thought beta 7 was feature complete, i.e. only testing is being done now?
