I am confused because I downloaded Firefox and I thought that was going to be my new browser replacing Safari and then I downloaded the DuckDuckGo thinking that was going to be the search engine that replaces Google now it looks as though their arrivals and then I don't understand how they both work and I'm very confused can you please help explain what each of them are and what their uses are and if I should have both of them are only one. Thank you

In this case the Firefox and DuckDuckGo you installed are web browsers and not a server or search engine. Safari is a web browse.

To change or add a search engine in the Firefox web browser on iOS/iPadOS see https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/change-your-default-search-engine-firefox-ios
