After changing my settings for incoming and outgoing mail servers, Thunderbird still times out. Also, I changed the yahoo server settings to imap but the server type shows as POP. Is that causing the time out problem. Here are my current settings: Yahoo Server Type: POP Mail Server Server Name: imap.mail.yahoo.com Port 993 Username: dragracers@cox.net Connection security: SSL/TLS Authentication method: OAuth2 DOES NOT ask for account or anything else.

Description: Yahoo Outgoing server: smpt.mail.yahoo.com Port: 465 Security and Authentification: Connection security SSL/TLS Authentication method: OAuth2 User name: dragracers@cox.net Does not connect with a time out approx. 30 seconds later.

You can't switch from POP to IMAP just by changing the settings. The account has to be added as a new IMAP account.
