I recently visited France. I'm English and live in UK. Since visiting France, Firefox seems to think I'm still there and search results are in French. I need them in UK English. How can I change to the correct setting?

Possibly your search site set a cookie or local storage variable with France as your location. To clear that:

While viewing a page on the site, click the lock icon at the left end of the address bar. After a moment, a "Clear Cookies and Site Data" button should appear at the bottom. Go ahead and click that. Firefox will ask you to confirm; go ahead and confirm.

Then try searching in a new tab. Does that work?

Many Thanks. Easy when you know ow what you're doing! Problem solved.
