Addons not work anymore in old FF versions

Some quite strange questions, which I'm not sure to which category it belongs to, While I use last FF on my main machine, I have another machine that still use firefox 56.0.2 since I like some of the addons there that never been remade/updated to newer FF versions,

It worked fine for years but suddenly all of the addons are disabled no matter what I've tried to do, Using backup, reinstall, about:config and setting xpinstall.signatures.required to false, you name it,

I was wondering if Mozilla pulled the plug on something or if some fixed date for things to expired has arrvied, As well as if there's a way to fix it in the settings/other means?

Some people said that Dev or Nighty edition can actually turn the xpinstall signatures to false while normal FF might have the option but won't actually do it, The problem is that I have no cluse which of their versions is equal to good old 56.0.2, Can anyone tell me?

Thx

Chosen solution

Ok, so I've managed to find a dev version that work with my stuff and tested it for few days now, At least as I'm righting this, everything seems to work fine.

Moreover now it's more easier to even handle two FF vers on the same PC without mess with the profiles cause Devs and normal FF use their own folders and profiles = )

FireKyuubi, the root certificate that Firefox uses to verify add-ons has expired. You can read about this here: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/root-certificate-expiration

There is no setting you can change in old Firefox that will update the root certificate. This can be achieved by updating to one of the versions listed in the article.

EDIT: Firefox Developer Edition does have a setting to skip extension verification, but of course there will be security and possibly other issues in doing this. Unfortunately I do not know where you can find old Developer Editions, if you were to decide to go down that route.

I've confirmed that in the nightly ver some of the addons still works, The issue is that I can't find a 56.0.2 ver of it so some addons still not loads up, I've only managed to find 56.0.1 for it,

I assume that Devs work the same way so I'll just need a version that is equal to normal 56.0.2
