Hello

My Thunderbird will not save the theme I select once I exit Thunderbird. When I restart Thunderbird and check addons, the theme is still enabled yet it is not displaying. The default theme is back. Also I have a formatting issue with the send to box. It is all messed up with big border and strange looking entry fields. See attached. Currently I have Suave theme enabled but as soon as I close out Thunderbird I lose the theme and next restart its back to default.

How do I fix this? thank you Hank

you might want to try toggling the hardware acceleration setting in preferences. This is often cause of video dosaply issues.

Themes are not supported in Thunderbird, beyond the basic ones in the installation, light Dark and Default. if you search for suave in Thunderbird's addon manager it will not find it. So I assume you downloaded it and installed it.

So moving along, remove the theme and hopeful Thunderbird will no longer have the messed up display.

It actually happens with all themes. I am now actually thinking it is an Nvidia driver issue because if I drag the mouse over the messed up areas, the redraw of the screen make the problem disappear. I'll wait for Nvidias next release and see if that solves it.

I have the latest Tbird and see no setting for this. Where would I find this?

OK I found it: Preferences/General/Indexing/Disable Hardware Acceleration. Problem solved. Thanks for your help Matt!
