Best way to Use the VPN - on all the time?

Hi, just installed and set up Mozilla VPN on my Mac and also my android phone. Is it best to have it on all the time? Does it use up a lot of battery on the Android if it is on all the time? Or is it best to just have it on away from home or when I have a particular secure search to do? Thanks

thank you for posting on the forum!

You can leave the VPN on at all times while browsing online, but some websites or streaming services disallow the usage of a VPN and will block your access once they detect you are using one. So in those instances you can just turn it off. It might use up additional battery on all devices as it is an active app, so same as all apps that are running in the background, it will take up additional battery life.

So in those instances you can just turn it off. It might use up additional battery on all devices as it is an active app, so same as all apps that are running in the background, it will take up additional battery life.
