Facebook uses too many resources in Firefox

Hello, I have noticed that when using Facebook in Firefox is uses up so much memory (about 70+% of available resources) to the point I cannot type anything as it has to "catch up" to me. When I open Task Manager is says that Firefox has 8-10 processes running. It all refreshes when I close Facebook, is there anything I can do to prevent this from happening? I tried running Facebook in Chrome and Edge, and it has no problems. Thanks. James.
