Can I use thunderbird for the same email account on multiple computers?

more options

I have a web-based email that I would like to start using thunderbird with. I need to still be able to access my email account from multiple locations (laptop, desktop and microsoft surface pro). Can that be done using thunderbird or do I need to stick with the web-based program? Will I be able to see the changes I make on my email on my desktop when I travel and use my laptop or surface pro?

Also, can thunderbird be used on an iphone?

Thank you.

To check your email from multiple devices you would setup the email account as IMAP and add the account to your email clients, like Thunderbird, as IMAP. You should Google IMAP vs POP so you know how the 2 protocols work and how they differ.

There is no Thunderbird version for phones or tablets. Your phone should have come with an email client installed. If not go to the Apple apps store and get one.
