I will be migrating Eudora to Thunderbird and thus need an older version, perhaps 1.5, or 17 or 31? I wanted to first install 52 to see if I like Thunderbird. Once that is installed can I separately install older versions as well or can I only install one version at a time?

Install virtual box in your system and then you would be able to add multiple version of Thunderbird account at one place

Thank you. I ended up using v31 and it brought my emails over mostly intact. A few were missing or had altered subject lines, but largely everything was there and I had to spend a few hours on clean up. Then I migrated up to v52
