What do I do if I already own a domain and want to use it?

The username I search for on Thunderbird gives me 30 other options that are similar. I purchased my domain from GoDaddy.com for $1.00. After researching some other hosting sites, I found one that had a "Transfer this domain if you own it" option but Thunderbird is my preferred host. How do I transfer my domain or what is the protocol if I already own it?

Chosen solution

Er no, Thunderbird is not a host and does not host your domain, nor your email account.

It is a tool for managing your email, but it needs to work with a server.

That $1 deal may have bought you a domain, but at that price I'd look critically at it to see how much else you bought.
