How do I create a PST back-up for my webmail on Go-Daddy?

I currently have a webmail account on Go-Daddy which will expire in early May. I want to export all my saved email folders from the Go-Daddy account so I do not lose all the email. I have been told this can be done using Outlook or Thunderbird. I have downloaded Thunderbird to my computer (using Vista OS) and need help with the next steps to create the PST back-up on Thunderbird. I have limited computer skills in this area. Thank you.

lets try this again. A PST file is an outlook file. Thunderbird does not and never has created them.

Use the add-on to export your mail as EML. This is a fairly standard format that just abut any mail client can read. Except Outlook.
