window's titlebars don't respect Vista's theme if "Win98"-like theme is used.

When Vista's theme is set to old-style (win-98-like), and custom colors ar set to windows borders and title bars, thunderbird don't respect this and always display them in gray.

I like to have topmost active window's border and titlebar to show in a brilliant color when (red for now), and I don't want to change elsewhere than vista's settings.

Is there a setting I'm missing ?

My Tunderbird version is 24.5.0

Thunderbird uses themes to set it's colours and as you have observed ignores the windows settings. Mostly because windows setting do not exist on the other operating systems Thunderbird runs on.

As you do not with to change anywhere but in Vistas setting your all out of luck. But you could try some themes. https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/thunderbird/themes/

Sorry but why isn't there an option to display firefox & thunderbird INSIDE the OS windows without redrawing its border, leaving it that to the OS, as much applictions do ?
