Can you download a full installer from firefox.com and just replace your current application bundle with this fresh one?
If nothing changes, can you try holding Shift when launching the browser to see if that would help start into a Troubleshoot Mode at least?
Firefox Crassh Reporter still crashes on startup; though not as soon after. Shift startup does not enter Trouble Shoot Mode and crashes as well (about the same delay).

Can you try downloading the separate Firefox Nightly nightly.mozilla.org that will come with its own clean profile to start using factory defaults, to see if you can launch that one at least?

No crash occurred from this build.
Indicates that two problems may exist in 158.0.1 namely: Something caused a Crash Report and the Crash Report has an issue. If I could create an Xcode project with the crashing build to call the crash report, I could get the address of the cause for the Crash Report by putting a breakpoint at the Crash Report Entry and the examine the Crash Report itself. Kill two birds with one stone.

The people who answer questions here, for the most part, are other users volunteering their time (like me), not Mozilla employees or developers. When a Mozilla employee jumps into a discussion, you'll see the Mozilla Staff label next to their name.
This seems to be a bug (or it could be apple being dumb as they do that alot especially with macOS 27), and as a volunteer that doesn't know how to really code, this it out of my reach.

I'm not really sure where the question turned into a build env issue as none of the question history implied you're trying to build your own binaries from source. For help with that I'd defer to wiki.mozilla.org/Matrix with rooms like #developers or #introduction to help iron out any local mach env wrinkles.
As for mysterious crashes, make sure you're not running unsupported configuration as disabled SIP integrity protections and the like: bugzilla.mozilla.org/2070811
Not really a build issue as far as Firefox goes regarding a normal sandbox build following the recommendation that I try the daily Night which requires a build. Did that and I got a successful build which gave an indication of what called for a crash report while continuing to run in an orderly manner (same as the releases after crashing in the Crash Report). Downside is that the build’s sandbox (debug arena) also failed (not sure whether it [sandbox] is Mozilla or Xcode). I have debug capability using Xcode; however, I need to create a Xcode project using an existing build’s source. Could not find a means of creating a Xcode project through a provided make (gmake for ARM64 Mac’s) and cmake to build the project. Once that is done, I can debug the problem.
I followed the recommendation of filing a bug report via Bugzilla only to have the twofold issue (issue calling for a crash report and the crash report itself) refilled as a Crash Report issue.
The crash that caused the Crash Report call appears to be from attempting “Operation[s] not permitted” at startup [Firefox] and the Crash Report crash is from a loop that eventually tries to read protected memory (could also be the sandbox problem).
Nightly is available from nightly.mozilla.org as a signed and notarized official download, no need to build anything, just press the "Download" button. (Or help yourself to any channel, platform, language in firefox.com/download/all …)
Start with this: Firefox Nightly is an unstable testing and development version of Firefox that shows new features before they reach the normal release. The key word is "unstable".
The local build creates an app specifically built for the destination system to be put into a quarantined structure (sandbox) so as to not corrupt the system when analyzing. Turns out the custom build corrupted the sandbox when ran.
Here is the issue in a nutshell: 1. The Initial Fault: Firefox starts up and attempts a prohibited low-level system call (likely compiling metal textures, accessing ~/Library/Application Support, or initializing IPC shared memory). macOS 27 blocks this immediately with an Operation not permitted signal. 2. The Crash Reporter Loop: Firefox intercepts this crash signal and spawns its sub-binary, firefox-bin or crashreporter.app. 3. The Sandbox Crash: Because the crash reporter also inherits the exact same sandboxing and TCC constraints from the environment, it crashes instantly while trying to generate its dump file or access the network. 4. The "Zombie" Resurrection: Because the crash reporter crashed out-of-order (Nightly did not crash), it fails to send the termination (SIGKILL) instruction back to the main thread. The main process simply moves to the next instruction block and proceeds to paint a blank canvas or generic window, completely unaware it technically "died" seconds prior.
From the initial post, the educational guess in the MTL (Firefox) vs MTL4 (MasOS 27.*) of my system. Not previously mentioned is the excessive number of warnings that appeared during compilation (something a strait download would not show), then build; however, the local build did exhibit the same issue as previously described when ran.
The original issue began with the 153. official release, occurred in the 158. official release, and subsequently in the 160. Nightly build release.
To look at those warnings and testing at startup (take a step farther back), I need a full fledge IDE (Xcode) to examine those warnings (compilation has limited detection for identifying actual faults) in the source code while going though a build (without having run it), then possibly running with breakpoints once possible fault locations are identified.
If you have a version in mind you can run mozilla.github.io/mozregression to help bisect which builds do launch and where it no longer succeeds — to help inform what changeset is the culprit for your system, and potentially find any rationale in the linked timelines — if you consistently get "good" and "bad" builds on both sides of the regression range.
System: Apple Studio: M3 Ultra running macOS 27.0.1 excluding Rosetta to run Intel. The installed Integrated Development Environment (IDE) is Xcode 27.0; thus, any build configuration requires ARM64 native, MTL4, and macOS 27.0.1 framework as a baseline. The Nightly Firefox provides latest Firefox source code for custom builds; thus, should be configurable to the aforementioned (come with the recommended IDE: Xcode 26 or newer). Built Firefox Nightly (160) specifically configured for macOS 27.0.1 using ./mach build (specified Terminal command) to run in Apple sandbox via ./mach run. I should be able to use the provided IDE tools to debug; however, the attempted run corrupted the sandbox as described in my previous post.
Noticed during the build phase, excessive warnings and RUST crashes (not a good sign); yet, that history does not appear to be saved anywhere.
Doubtful if any previous .dmg will be properly configured for the system. Especially since the Nightly build is specifically configurable; thus, the best source though still crashes as previously described. The only downside is that I have yet to figure out how to view the intermediary compiled files with the provided IDE. Would like a gmake file that does not call the executable mach to create a direct build command structure rather than an executable, a cmake to actually build using the created command structure (required for creating a build target), and a cmake to create a Xcode .proj file (no need to save the intermediate since since Xcode allows a build without run to obtain the needed intermediate files).
As stated earlier, the initial crash appears to be the MTL vs MTL4 which configures the CPU/GPU memory sharing structure.
