Good evening,

I was trying to use the VPN option on the Fire Fox browser and it will not let me use it. I press the get started tab, sign in, and when it asks me to turn it on it simply just shows me the get started window again and it doesn't change. Is there anyway to fix this? Please let me know.

I've been using Firefox for so many years I don't use any other browser unless a site doesn't work,then I use 'Opera' (very infrequent). I updated Firefox to v154.0 and now searching does not work properly.

I used to be able to enter a question into the bar/box where one would normally view any given URL, select return, and Firefox would bring up Yahoo! search results.

With this update, that doesn't work. When I select return the URL that had been in the space just reappears. If I visit the Yahoo! main page and try to use the search box with the magnifying/eye-glass, it launches a blank tab.

I'm forced to use the AI icon to get a search result. I do NOT want to use that feature.

Also, with Firefox 154.0 I cannot remove other search engines. With every update I remove Google, Bing, Duck-Duck-Go, Wiki, Amazon, etc. because I ONLY want one search engine, Yahoo!

I checked the Yahoo!Search Extension and made sure all the "allow" buttons needed were selected.

I want to remove the other search engines from the Settings tab, and I would like to have the same behavior prior to the update: simply type my question or text into the main html bar/box and select return, and get results.

I see that other had an issue starting with version 142 or so that was similar, but I've not had this issue until two days ago.

Any help is appreciated. And yes I delete my cache etc. regularly. I'm on Mac OS 15.7.7 and again, it has never been a problem until updating Firefox to v154.

A couple of weeks ago all of my bookmarks disappeared from my profile. The toolbar is empty and when I click manage bookmarks, the entire interface is blank. When I attempt to do the restoration method suggested in the firefox guide, nothing happens when I click the restore button from the drop down. I tried logging out and logging back in, but that didnt help unfortunately. Any suggestions or help is greatly appreciated.

Cannot reach extensions search from Firefox about:addons page. I keep getting the following when I search for any extension.

Firefox lately seems to create problems every time it is updated. I am really leaning towards making MSEdge my default browser because I am tired of these problems cropping up at each major update. I spent several hours this morning making sure my bookmarks and my saved logins and passwords were up to date with what I have in Firefox plus making sure my privacy and security were at it's tightest and strongest there. Major updates for Firefox use to go smoothly and seamlessly but that is now questionable.

What is going on?

The keyboard shortcuts (CTRL + T to open new tab) are not available on Firefox 154.0. Also, the right-click option no longer displays standard options ie "save image as..." Image below is after right-clicking on "show details" link, after text "We've made some educated guesses about your current browser and operating system."

Aloha, I get anxious, sometimes very anxious when I wonder how safe my financial and personal information is online using my phone. We do not have a laptop, tablet, or desk PC, I have an unlimited data plan thru total wireless and it's all i use for internet oh, other than T-Mobile home internet for streaming. Don't use home internet to do anything by scroll and view. I begin to question myself, and that leads me being introduced to security systems and companies that provide VPN and other thing with initials. Reading through the material on the topics of security and privacy, it seems that I have these extra features already included through FIREFOX. But yet, nothing is as simplistic as that. Or is it? Do I have all the special security features just by using FIREFOX as my browser? I hope this isn't the most annoying topic you need to explain, comfort, assure to other people ever. I have had a bit of a problem with a keyboard today and tried downloading drivers and reading faqs about it, and apparently as of today (august 20th 2026) firefox decided that most sites are unreachable (which they clearly are since the laptop running win11 works) Why the sudden overstep? BTW I can't access this page on the win10 computer.

I'm on 153.0.4 (64-bit) and after the last update, drop-down arrows are non-functional. I use Firefox at work and the dashboards that I've been using can't be used because I can't make selections. I'm having to use Microsoft Edge (yuk).

Is there something I can do to restore the drop-down behavior?

When I open Firefox, the profile I open with will open perfectly normally to version 153.0.4 and says it is up to date. However, if I open a different profile, that one will say it "Firefox is being updated by another instance". I can quit the app and change which profile I open first, and that profile will be 'up to date', and the other one will be 'being updated'.

I already went through quitting all pending tasks in task manager and restarting my device, as well as deleting and redownloading the app. This is really slowing down my processing speed while I work! Please help. I really don't want to lose my profiles.

After the last update I keep bein forcefully logged out of my firefox account. And when I manage to log in, my saved passwords are all gone! After restarting firefox I'm logged out again. What's going on?

Every time I open Firefox I get the prompt for my master password even though I'm not on a website. How do I get this to stop? It has begun to ask me twice and only does it once if I disable sync. How do I get it to stop unless I'm actually trying to sign in to something?

Hi folks My configuration: MacOS Tahoe FF 15.4.0 When I relaunched FF after restarting the Mac, in the Windows menu all the pages from the previous session were listed but none appeared when I tried selecting them. They must be hidden somewhere. I tried several work-arounds. The one that gives a result is by selecting in the View menu the Enter Full Screen item, then try to go back to a normal view which is a pain in the neck. Is there a clean method to make all those windows come back to their normal position and if possible preventing FF from doing this in the first place? TIA Nick
