Firefox 4 doesn't have my most used functions. How can I get 3 back?

I upgraded to 4.0 this morning and now I can't use several of my most used functions. On the 'back' button I used to be able to go back several pages at a time, now you can only go one.

That is an important function to me and if there isn't anyway to fix it I will have to stop using Firefox.

They've combined the 'back up once' and 'back up multiple' into one button. (I know, bad decision.)

To get the old functionality back, RIGHT-click on the back button ... a list of your last visited sites will drop down, you can then highlight and left-click on the particular site you want to go back to.

Thank you for your answer but that is just more work. Firefox is going to go bye bye. Back to IE.

Again, thank you so much for taking the time to reply. Some things just can't be compromised on.

You can also hold down the left mouse button on an enabled B/F button until the list opens.

Can you right click the Back or Forward button on the Navigation Toolbar.

If the menu bar is hidden then press the F10 key or hold down the Alt key, that should make the menu bar appear.

Make sure that the "Navigation Toolbar" and the "Bookmarks Toolbar" are visible: "View > Toolbars"

  • If items are missing then open the Customize window via "View > Toolbars > Customize" or via "Firefox > Options > Toolbar Layout"
  • If a missing item is in the toolbar palette then drag it back from the Customize window on the toolbar
  • If you do not see an item on a toolbar and in the toolbar palette then click the "Restore Default Set" button to restore the default toolbar set up.
