High pitched background noise during audio reproduction

Whenever there's audio playing, such as in a Youtube video, there's also a faint continuous high pitched noise as well. This issue isn't present in other browsers, is there any way i could fix this?

In Windows you could use an equaliser to cut out high pitches and see if that helps.
