Google AI overview not appearing on any search query but only appears in a private window google search
So i have freshly installed firefox, every time i look up something on google i don't get any AI overviews, but when i use google in a private window google's ai overview works in there. what is going on? (keep in mind i have ublock origin activated on both windows but the ai only works in private mode where im not signed in)

Okay so that was odd, i checked in the next day and for the first few hours it was the same until suddenly it works now, the issue has been fixed (hopefully), i appreciate the help thank you very much.

Hi Mekkel Skywalker,
Since it works when you're not signed in, this is most likely a Google account or cached data issue rather than a Firefox problem. A few things to try:
1. Check your Google Search settings
Go to google.com, open Settings > Search settings, and look for an AI Overview or Search Labs option. Make sure it's turned on for your account.
2. Clear your Google cookies and cache
Old cached data can cause this. Go to Settings > Privacy & Security > Clear Data, select Cookies and Cache, and try searching again.
3. Test with extensions disabled
Click the menu button, then Help > Troubleshoot Mode and restart. If AI overviews show up there, one of your extensions is likely blocking them in your normal window.
Let us know what you find!
I also don't have the AI tab or summary card when I access with older cookies/session, but get it with private tab or fresh profile — so it's something they decide to set on the session, maybe as an experiment? That's just a guess unless someone knows the causality of e.g. query params used and then influencing the rest of the session or similar…
