Economist article links fail
Some months back when I get gmail from the Economist and try to go to an article the gmail links to I get this: Our apologies. An error seems to have occurred. The article actually appears very briefly but then gets overwritten by this error message. I am using an up to date Windows 10 PC.
When I go to Microsoft Edge this behavior does not occur. In Firefox I have tried clearing the data and cache but to no avail.
Any thoughts on dealing with this? I do not want to go through many heroic steps to fix this.

I don't quite understand. Doesn't Ghostery take the place of my uBlock Origin and doesn't Malwarebytes try to find malware problems in sites? Or does Ghostery do both adblocking and malware blocking?

Thoughts... How about you post the contents of an email here for us to try.
Here is a link that shows my problem in Firefox but not in Edge:

Hi Les
Thank you for sharing that link. Do you have any add-ons installed in Firefox?
I have a few extensions: Darkreader Lastpass Malwarebytes browser guard uBlock Origin
Can you try turning off uBlock Origin?
I think that might be causing a problem with that article loading correctly.
I took the link provided in my previous email and opened a tab with uBlock turned off. Still experienced the problem.
Show the issue. Did you try Firefox in Troubleshoot Mode? https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/diagnose-firefox-issues-using-troubleshoot-mode#search104
Here is what I get. see screenshot
Modified
The use of Troubleshoot mode did result in the problem disappearing. I guess I will have to sort through which extension has caused the problem.
If you post a screenshot like mine, it should be easy to see.
I'll let you know when i disable the right one.
Jonzn, I do not know what screen shot you want and how it would help. The Economist article I want to read comes up in a new tab like I would expect in Troubleshoot mode. Don't I now have to go back to regular mode and disable some extensions?
Modified
That's why I said to post a screenshot now and we can probably guess which one is causing the issue.
It's going to be one of these. Malwarebytes browser guard uBlock Origin
You can see from my screenshot that I'm running Ghostery and Adblock Plus with no issues.
Does this screen shot help? This is in Troubleshoot mode.
Modified
Terrible screenshot. Post a screenshot of the browser not using that terrible tool from Mozilla, but Snipping Tool in Windows. We want to see which add-on is causing the issue which is why you need to just run in normal mode so we can see.

OK, I turned off Malwarebytes Browser Guard and the problem disappeared. Thank you for pointing out this diagnostic method !
Now do you guys have any thoughts, if I have to just run without that extension? Or should I let Malwarebytes know and just run without or ... ?
OUTSTANDING!!! You can possibly just tweak it for the site.
I don't know how to tweak it but I'll investigate that avenue. Thank you !!!
If you click it, there could be some tweaking. Here is a screenshot of Adblock Plus on that site. You should be able to tweak something, if not, remove it and have a good day. ;-))
That's why I've been telling you and all the other users to show us the issue. I don't want to, but I'm going to install it... and see what happens. ;-))
