Why is my bookmarks library immediately opening the last folder in the library?
I just updated last night to version 98.0 of Firefox, and have noticed that when I click on manage bookmarks that the boomarks now open at the bottom of the various bookmarks folders by default instead of opening at the top like they used to. What happened here? I am including a picture to show where the manage bookmarks section is going by default now instead of where it normally does. Can anyone help fix this?

Mike and Marc7 share my experience. I don't really understand why you should suddenly be required to open a notebook at the back. Of course come people want to do that, because that is where their notes have reached, but not me.
What changed for me was that I can no longer pick what bookmark to use, firefox picks it for me. Then I have to manually change it by clicking on the tab and scrolling through all the bookmarks from odd positions instead of being able to scroll from the top. This just started with 98. I was hoping that the first two updates would address how screwed up bookmarks are, but no such luck. It is totally screwed up and I can't believe more people haven't complained. I guess most users don't use the bookmarks.

Hi, do you mean the folder where Firefox saves new bookmarks? If you visit a bookmarked page and click the blue star button in the address bar, you can set Firefox to show that panel every time you save a new bookmark. Here's a quick screenshot for reference:
Whenever it changed, it is very irritating.
