I've been looking into it for some times now, but I can't seem to find a solution to my problem.

I listen to music on Bandcamp, which is organised so that every artist has their own subdomain (like artist_name.bandcamp.com), and it messes up the autoplay permission. Basically, for every new artist I listen to, I need to manually activate that permission (Site Information > More Info > Permissions > uncheck default autoplay > check "allow") and this is frustrating when I forget, do domething while listening to music, and then it stops after the first track of the album...

There seems to be no way to manually add website from about:preference. I tried editing "permissions.sqlite" to add the url but even if I add "https://bandcamp.com" or "https://*.bandcamp.com", it never works on subdomains (the entries appear in the autoplay settings, but no wildcars/match pattern is considered).

Is there really no way to achieve that? allow the whole Bancamp domain and subdomains without changing my global settings to allow autoplay by default? I don't want want to allow other websites by default.

For the sake of completeness, I have Firefox configured in (almost) the strictest way (Tracking, Cookies, constant Private browsing). I think it does not interfere much in my problem: even if the autoplay permissions for the subdomain I visited are cleared after closing Firefox, the problem remains when I visit new ones.

Thanks for your time

Always allow or block media autoplay

To always allow or block autoplay for all media with audio or video:

Click the menu button Fx57Menu and select Options.
Select the Privacy & Security panel.
Scroll down to the Permissions section.
   Fx69Permissions-Autoplay
Find Autoplay and click the Settings… button.
Use the Default for all websites drop-down menu to select how you want Firefox to handle media autoplay for all websites.
   Fx69Permissions-BlockAutoplay
The default Block Audio setting will prevent autoplay for all media with sound.
The Block Audio and Video setting will prevent autoplay for all media, including video, even though audio is muted.
The Allow Audio and Video setting will allow all media to autoplay.
After you have made your selection, click Save Changes.

The setting you select will apply to all media for all websites, except for specific autoplay site settings.

Thanks for your reply. I do understand that much, but this is not exactly what i asked for.

I want to keep the "Default for all websites : Block Audio and Video". BUT, I want to allow a specific website AND its subdomains to Autoplay.

Basically, my current settings are as shown on the image attached. I allowed bandcamp's main page to Autoplay, but that exception is not considered on bandcamp's subdomains (i.e. each and every artists' page). I want to know if there is a work arround that. Like having Wildcard Pattern Matching on that rule. Something like " https:// * . <domain>" (which does not work).
