My business has two domains. I can send email to a Gmail account holder using the primary domain with no issues. But amy emails from what I call the "secondary" domain below are treated as spam. This occurs with two different email addresses using the secondary domain.

Both domains are hosted with Bluehost. Exhaustive research has revealed the following:

  • Settings in Thunderbird are exactly the same, e.g. ports, security, SSL/TLS, etc. for each domain.
  • There is no subject line or content that could possibly be regarded as spam.
  • MXToolbox indicates that the secondary domain is not on any blacklist.
  • Extended support via Bluehost reveals that SPF, DKIM, and DMARC records are all correct.
  • Email sent to a Gmail account using the CPanel (Roundcube) is not flagged as spam. Only emails sent via Thunderbird are flagged.
  • Emails sent to a Gmail account from the secondary domain using my mobile phone, but still on the same network/IP address, are not flagged as spam.
  • If I first send an email to one of the secondary domain emails FROM Gmail, then reply to it, the reply is not flagged as spam.

After many hours of head scratching (and later, head banging), I am pretty much at my wit's end with this problem. I'm an electronic engineer but this one is definitely out of my wheelhouse. Any help would most certainly be appreciated!

Two identical spam emails came in, and I deleted both from my Inbox. Both had attachments. Deleting them moved them to the Trash folder. When I went to the Trash folder, I found both emails had been combined into one file. Is that "threading"? I don't want any emails to be combined together EVER. Previously I had checked the "Unthreaded" box in Settings; so if this was threading, why did it happen?

Another question: I couldn't find anything to do with this combined file but to delete it. Did the act of deleting it also delete the attachments, which probably contained viruses?

This "threading" business has been going on for years now. I always check the options that supposedly disable it, but then it keeps happening.

Recently started getting many more mails than usual. many if not all related to setting up an account at a site from which I had not solicited an account. some included requests to acknowledge charges to my account for purchases I had not made charged to payment accounts I did not have. Some I could not read because they were in languages I did not read. My usual practice is to read and then delete emails that I don't need, but the ones I am receiving are so numerous, reading each and then deleting is impractical. I need some way to delete by categories. I don't understand what is causing the flood of emails but I need to stop it if I can. Hidden in the emails I am getting may be some I need and if I delete by categories I may lose some that I need, but at the same time, it is impractical to read and then delete individual messages. mails Anyone have any idea what caused the flood of what appears to be spurious emails, is it some sort of scam or cyber attack?

The date and time of the emails show as the current date and time, not the actual date and time that the emails were received on the Hostgator server. For example, if an email was actually received on Hostgator 3 days ago at 5 pm. When I open Thunderbird at 9 am today, the date and time received will show today at 9 am. And nothing that I can see on the email that I have on my computer shows the actual receipt date. I have tried some things on my own, and I have chatted with AI and made some changes to what's showing on the headers. But nothing has worked to resolve the issue.

For some reason since reinstalling my Thunderbird every time I try to sen e-mail I get the error "Sending of the message failed. An error occurred while sending mail. The mail server responded: <SantoshS1@vbeyond.com>: Recipient address rejected: Access denied. Please check the message recipient "SantoshS1@vbeyond.com" and try again.

They are perfectly valid addresses, as they are generated using Reply. This did not happen before I was forced to reinstall from scratch. I suspect it may be some sort of issue with my account configuration in Thunderbird, as I had to recreate that.

On one of my accounts I have an enabled filter for incoming messages consisting of a Tag + Copy + Delete (see screenshot) When a new message arrives, the filter is executed TWICE (see screenshot of the log) , the copied message arrives TWICE at the destination (once tagged, once NOT tagged). In the deleted folder of the source there is only one message.

What might be gong on ? Why is the filter executed twice ?

PS : I also tried Tag + Move instead of Tag + Copy + Delete

Hi. Since the last 2 updates, my Bell sympatico email through T-bird cannot SEND anymore emails (No errors are given but the email never comes through). I can receive emails without issue and when I use another tool (like Outlook or go directly through my browser, the sympatico emails come through) I attached the settings for the SMTP in a screenshot if that could help.

Any idea how to fix this?

Checked all settings compared to Yahoo, still won't download messages. I can even send a message with my current settings no problem, and it does login, just won't retrieve emails. Gives me a connection timeout.

Anyone have any ideas?
