My browser is always open with a lot of open tabs that needs login. Every time the browser updates a beta update, I must restart the browser and all the logins are lost and I need to login to all my different ongoing tasks (google mail, rumble and other pages with login) in the tabs. How can I set up the Firefox browser so I only get the full version updates (like 152.0) and not the beta versions (like 152.02) ?

I have just been on the phone with my bank after arguing with their bot!

I was having trouble on their website, so they gave me some instructions over issues I was having on their website. I followed their instructions, but the changes I made were not registered. Suddenly, a message came up on my screen from the bank telling me that my firefox is not up to date, as it was only on version 152.0. I then checked to find that Firefox has just released an update to version 152.1.

Thinking that this should not really affect my connections with my bank, I looked up this forum to find that other users have had similar problems, and when investigated, it was the banks IT departments that have been too lazy to adjust their systems to Firefox updates. I also noted that last evening we were having buffering problems on our tv, which may or not have anything to do with the update, although I read from Mozilla Support that this too can happen.

Could you please confirm that this is our problem, and that it will soon correct itself. If not, could you please let us know if there are measures being to prevent this in the near future, as although the tv is not important, it has been a little stressful having to make important transactions with the bank.

I ask this with respect, knowing full well that you have provided me with many years of an excellent free service!

Out of nowhere, the Nightly browser starts with Windows & a new profile. This forces me to go to Settings to uncheck the setting for Nightly to start when I start Windows.

First, the setting "Open Firefox automatically when your computer starts up" should never, ever be checked by default.

Second, this has happened on both my Win11 computers with Nightly. What is concerning is that somehow a Nightly update out of the blue created a brand new profile--I have a specific profile I use for my Nightly installs--with the start with Windows startup setting checked. This should not happen even with an alpha app like Nightly. The update process should only be using the profile running when the update process takes place.

This forces me to run the Firefox Profile Manager to delete the profile that was created out of the blue.

Honestly, if this is not addressed, I will have to stop using Firefox, Beta & Nightly. I have Firefox since it first was pre-version 1.0, but I refuse to use an app that thinks it is acceptable to make default a setting like Start with Windows startup.
