I am not sure what I removed from Firefox settings. It has affected how somethings appear on screen. Here is an example of the what my facebook texts look like now. If anyone know what I removed and how to reinstall it I would appreciate it.

I think it might have had to do with image replacement page. I remember 3 objects on the page and I deleted one, I remember it having show an X logo like musk revamped twitter.

Any help or suggestions are appreciated

i cannot type the letter u in the search bar when trying to search something. i have been through all of the settings and i cannot figure out why it wont let me use the letter u. it pops up for a second then goes away or it autofills to a different link that im not trying to go to.

the address on all of my bookmarks has been changed to the 1 same bookmark location I last used.?????? How do I get back all of my bookmarks back with the correct location without retyping each one individually????

I just upgraded to 158.0.1. When I do a "Save page as: Web page, Complete", why does Firefox now add a random five characters to the end of all of the filenames in the xx_files folder?? How do I stop this?

I am using Firefox (.deb from mozilla, not snap) in ubuntu budgie 26.04. It used ~/.config/mozilla/firefox as its profile root but after I updated to 159.0.1~build1 and clicked on a link in Thunderbird it began to use ~/.mozilla. I closed firefox, renamed that .mozilla directory, and it recreated it. MOZ_LEGACY_HOME is not set, and XDG_CONFIG_HOME is unset.

Is it only me? Thanks for your time.

How to stop windows hello sign in to get on my laptop, which I read can be associated with my Firefox browser. The standard procedure from Microsoft and AI don't work as when it says to click on certain sections, like account or click enter or Configure Auto-login Type "netplwiz" in Start menu search Bypass manual password entry at boot --NOTHING works. Only options I've been offered is to switch to Linux and drop Windows.

Yesterday I could not load spectrum.net or my spectrum webmail (I have gmail but mainly use webmail). I called spectrum and they said clear your cache on Firefox, which I did and then it worked. Today I ran into the same problem and tried clearing the cache again. I used Firefox private window to view my webmail (both yesterday and today) but I couldn't log out today; spinning circle (I closed the window and could log back on the next time). Yesterday I could log out using the private window. I don't understand what is going on because I didn't have this problem just several days ago. Thank you.

Italy as a location server was available up to November 2nd, so it can't be related to the summer's limited VPN rollout. Why this change now? I haven't changed anything on my profile, and my Forefox is up to date, so it's nothing to do with me.

Hi, I have been using Firefox a lot in the past, mostly on macOS, without too much of a problem. A couple of years ago converted to chrome-based browser, not entirely sure, but I think it was mainly due to a couple of chrome add-ons that at that time I could not find a Firefox equivalent for.

I recently switched back to primarily using Firefox, mainly because it more lenient on my older cpu's. (less puffing and panting and fans spinning up)

Question: I would say I'm a fairly from left to right person in the sense that I expect new tabs to appear to the right. I have recently been struggling with Firefox: - mainly: when I e.g. want to drag out a tab to a new window, or use right-click on a tab, then "Move tab to new window", what often happens is that that specific tab, while moving, takes 5 other tabs with it - how can I disable or change this behaviour? - I have also experienced quite some times, e.g. I have several FF windows, working in one of them, and doing cmd-t to open a new tag, then the new tag opens, but jumps to some weird location, all be it in that same window, but definitely not to the right of the tab where the command was issued from.

I have the followin add-ons installed: - Detach Tab - Move Tab to new window and quite a couple of other that I guess are not tab related.

I am on a tech page, i,e,. on the wiring of a computer fan speed control. Immediately there is a popup of pictures or even a schematic in centre screen. No movement on screen is allowed. Hitting Return or Space bar makes the popup go away, but as soon as I move the page, the popup (same one each time) constantly keeps returning and i cannot read the article. So the page is totally worthless and frustrating to me.

Is there a way to suppress the popup?

Everything was working fine. I ran windows update on 10/31/26. Afterwards I couldn't open Firefox or Brave browsers. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the updates. I've uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox. I've reinstalled windows 11 three different times. There are approx. 4 programs that won't open or function at all. Nothing changes when I boot up in safe mode, or when I disable my anti virus. I've tried system restoring 4 times but it fails every time. Ironically enough, Microsoft's Edge browser operates perfectly. For some reason, if I go thru the microsoft store and choose the firefox app it downloads and works but not like it did when I downloaded it directly from mozilla. I can't make it my default browser, I can't pin it to the taskbar, and the shortcut target is the My PC folder. I've spend hours chatting with microsoft tech support. I'm at my wits end and don't know what else I can try. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
