Are you asking about Firefox, or the computer itself. Firefox does not have any volume controls, except for web pages that send audio/video to the displayed web page. If you are asking about the computer, in Windows look next to the time display. there should be an icon for volume control. If you don't see one, right click on the clock or a blank area where the active icons are displayed and then select Properties. Select Notifications. Make sure Volume is on and press okay. Left click the volume icon and then move the slider as you wish. If you right click, you will get the full menu.

Does it happen in Firefox only? Have you tried some other browser?

i followed the instructions but couldnt turn up the volume or get the icon on taskbar it shows up all gray and pale (it wont give me any options) how do i fix this
