Firefox crashes as soon as I attempt to open it. Crash reporter appears. I have uninstalled and re-installed the program bu there is no difference

Thanks for this. I stppoed Rapport and could start Fire fox. Have insatlled latest Firefox and newest Rapport sand the problem is solved .

finitarry . Thanks for reply. The crash still happens in safe mode. I have tried a new profile and the result is the same. I am currently checking disc. My security software ESET is not listed to suggest a fix.

Looks like a problem with Trusteer Rapport (RapportTanzan11.DLL)

You can try to stop Trusteer Rapport if installing the latest version doesn't help.

Start Menu > Programs > Trusteer Rapport > Stop Rapport
