Why does Firefox no longer print PDF files from Web pages (since 14 October 2026)?

How can Firefox print PDF files to desired destination? Firefox updates after 14 October 2026 no longer produce PDF files. The interface goes through the motions, but going to the save locations shows they're not there. Looked into the Downloads folder, and did a search on my computer, including attached hard drive. Additional actions performed:

1. Installed Adobe Acrobat Pro DC to replace Acrobat X Pro. 2. Checked Firefox settings and preferences. 3. Cleared Firefox cache. 4. Restared computer.

There's an issue accessing various encrypted volumes, external drives and the like, that should be fixed in a release in a few days: support.mozilla.org/questions/1616380
