Hello guys,

I am a millennial user, tried to give firefox a chance after seeing your recent ad. But im facing an issue using the app on my android phone, in the address bar an extra characters automatically append when trying to input any website in the bar. It's sooo frustrating.

Please need advise before giving up

Thank you

Thanks Tydraniu, I installed Microsoft swift keyboard and it seems the issue was solved. Probably the bug in firefox using Gboard.

Thanks again for the fast replies.

Hi, can you attach a screenshot of the issue? Thanks.

Hello. Attached... I was trying to type "test". And "se" Added automatically. This issue is reproduced every time.

OK. What keyboard software do you use? Samsung's Keyboard, GBoard or something else?

Im using Gboard

Hmmmm... we only got bug 2035959, but the reporter wrote that the problem magically resolved itself. Right now I'm not aware of any issues with Gboard. Is it updated?

Disabling some "smart typing" features in Gboard settings might be a workaround. You can also file a new bug report in Bugzilla.
