Are windows "local folders" in Thunderbird compatible with local folders in Thunderbird on linux?
I have 3 computers. Two are running Windows, and one is running Linux. I was pleasantly surprised to find that Linux Mint has Thunderbird built in. I keep the two Windows computers in sync with a file compare program, "Beyond Compare" Are my local folders compatible between the two operating systems so I can sync my Linux Thunderbird local folders with the ones I have stored in Windows Thunderbird local files?

No, the physical layer is different.
If you have the same one email account on 3 computers, it does not matter - you need no sync. If you 3 computers are in the same LAN, you can use one share folder as your Local Folder.
Got it, and thanks for the quick reply. Thanks too for the solution. All my computers are on the same LAN. I'm thinking of setting up a NAS that should keep everybody happy. Thanks again.
