So Firefox is not a web browser
So if Google is still involved any time I search the web, then what is the benefit of using Firefox? Can someone please explain? Thanks for your time

Firefox is indeed a web browser. The Google you are seeing in Firefox is one of the default search engines you can use in Firefox. You can add or change to another search engine to use in Firefox.
Since you posted this in the desktop Firefox section here are the related KB articles. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/add-or-remove-search-engine-firefox https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/add-custom-search-engine-firefox https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/change-your-default-search-settings-firefox
