I have just switched a new PC with Windows 11 Have been using Outlook, but switched to Thunderbird. Thunderbird keeps downloading very old emails (currently over 4500) to the inbox. These are old emails that I deleted when using "Classic" outlook on my old PC. How do I stop this? Thanks

Is this a POP account? The messages were obviously not deleted. You can get a clearer picture of the account by logging in online and viewing the messages there.
