Hi,

I used to operate my emails using POP3 and 'get messages' whenever I wanted to check for new mail, rather than automatically downloading. I disabled the settings in server settings for the auto fetch new emails, but the emails still come through automatically.

Is this due to the change from POP3 to exchange and cannot be overridden, or am I missing something here?

Thanks

YOU are not using a service that is synchronized to the server storage. So even the read/unread status of email is synchronized. I suggest you get used to getting mail when it arrives, not when you click a button.

I still use POP because for some accounts it meets my needs better than IMAP. avoid exchange and the OWL add-on if at all possible as emulating the exchange web services is not something I want to be doing much of..
