Bug in Highlights section of New Tabs? "Delete from History" is ineffectual.
Have I found a Bug in the Highlights section of New Tabs? "Delete from history" is ineffectual: I have https://www.metmuseum.org/explore/perneb_tomb/index.html in my browser history, which is a stale URL, and it appeared in the Highlights section of a New Tab (in Firefox (59.0.2) on Sierra). I click in the top right corner, choose "Delete from History", confirm, and it doesn't go away. Tried 3 x. Would expect it to not show up again, since it's no longer in my history, it wouldn't be among the things that could be chosen to appear. Can someone (preferably who runs a recent nightly build) try to reproduce this? File a bug report?

Just happened again, this time with https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Mozilla/Bugzilla/What_to_do_and_what_not_to_do_in_Bugzilla !
I took screen shots; available by request.
It seems to work in Firefox 60.0 on Windows (example screenshot from a new profile attached). Automatic updates are initially trickled out, so you may not get 60 until later this week, or if there are particular issues on MacOS, it may be delayed further.
If you use Sync then best is to disconnect Sync temporarily during troubleshooting.
You can check for problems with the places.sqlite database (bookmarks and history) in the Firefox profile folder.
- use "Verify Integrity" on the "Help -> Troubleshooting Information" (about:support) page

If "Verify Integrity" on the "Help -> Troubleshooting Information" (about:support) page cannot repair places.sqlite then remove all places.sqlite files in the Firefox profile folder. Firefox will rebuild places.sqlite and restore the bookmarks from a recent JSON backup in the bookmarkbackups folder.
- keep a backup copy of places.sqlite in case a new places.sqlite database has to be created

You can use the button on the "Help -> Troubleshooting Information" (about:support) page to go to the current Firefox profile folder or use the about:profiles page.
- Help -> Troubleshooting Information -> Profile Directory:
Windows: Show Folder; Linux: Open Directory; Mac: Show in Finder - http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder_-_Firefox
Thanks to both of you. (Sorry for the slow reply; I thought I checked for replies a couple days later, but it seems I didn't.)
I ran "Verify Integrity". The places db doesn't seem to be out of integrity.
@jscher2000: Thanks for trying to reproduce. (FYI: It wasn't clear that you found that the entry was indeed removed from history; you weren't explicit; at first I thought you thought I was saying "Delete from History" didn't even appear.)
Tried again now with another URL, and couldn't reproduce; an URL that 'highlights' chose to show from my history was delete-able and didn't come back when the page refreshed.
Seems it was pretty random and is not reproducible at present, so no bug filed. Case pretty much closed.
