Firefox does not let adf.ly work

I try to download something that uses adf.ly to work, and it says there's an ad blocker browser extension enabled. I look through my add-ons in Firefox and there's nothing in Extensions or Add-ons that is anything close to an ad blocker. After poking around, I found that Firefox was updated with a built-in ad blocker. Is this true, and how do I fix it?

Gekose oplossing

Firefox 42+ has a Tracking Protection feature that is enabled by default in Private Browsing mode. When you are in private browsing mode then Firefox can show a shield icon at the left end of the location/address bar that some content is affected.

You can disable this feature in "Options/Preferences > Privacy" or via the about:privatebrowsing page that get when you open a New Private Window.
