In versions 38.0.1, 38.5.1 and 38.6.0 under Mac OS 10.11.3, staring search (Command Shift F) produces search window which is full screen and makes the toolbar and dock inaccessible. You can get out of it via ESC, however, then you need to star a new search window the next time you need to search. Disabling all the plugins I could find did not solve the problem. Starting in Safe Mode solves the problem, but, also kills the dictionary. I reinstalled 31.6.0, and, the Search window now behaves correctly, NOT as a full screen, resizable and can be moved around. And, I do not need to run in Safe Mode. ( don't have time to go through all the backed versions and see which one work..) Please fix this, I need the search function to work. Karl Reed

re :Starting in Safe Mode solves the problem,

This is likely to mean that an addon extension is causing the problem. Start in normal mode and then disable one addon extension at a time, retesting the Search, when it works normally you will know which one is causing the issue. Maybe it needs updating.

Please report back on results.
