Need to install update without losing Norton toolbar
It seems to me that Firefox & Norton could co-operate better, so that there is not this issue of compatibility. I am sure I am not the only person who will switch browsers rather than lose Norton toolbar, though I would rather not switch. Poor customer experience = less customers & bad reviews.

Norton was notified of the change that would require them to update their toolbar over 6 months ago, and we even delayed the change as long as we could to give them more room. They refused to update however until it was too late, so users are now experiencing problems.
You should not continue to use old versions of Firefox, as they are vulnerable to security holes. The Norton Toolbar does nothing to actually protect you, the actual anti-virus part of norton runs in the background, irrespective of what browser you use. If you need the toolbar, please contact Norton and inform them that you are unhappy with how long it is taking them to stay compatible with modern software. I would strongly encourage you however, to just uninstall the toolbar and not worry about it.
