I save important emails to archives so I can easily find them. They're gone, and I didn't delete them. I appreciate any help you can offer. My computer is a Dell from 2009. I'm vintage also and not very computer savvy.

Two identical spam emails came in, and I deleted both from my Inbox. Both had attachments. Deleting them moved them to the Trash folder. When I went to the Trash folder, I found both emails had been combined into one file. Is that "threading"? I don't want any emails to be combined together EVER. Previously I had checked the "Unthreaded" box in Settings; so if this was threading, why did it happen?

Another question: I couldn't find anything to do with this combined file but to delete it. Did the act of deleting it also delete the attachments, which probably contained viruses?

This "threading" business has been going on for years now. I always check the options that supposedly disable it, but then it keeps happening.

How does one add additional fonts to Thunderbird for use in composing email messages?

OTHER: Someone needs to revise and update this form! "Thunderbird version" (below) now prohibits inputting the complete length of Thunderbird's version; limits to "18 characters"; version is now 20 characters. Website input forms that have unrealistic character limitations really irritate me.

Why does the Thunderbird search for an email with certain information no longer work? It used to work OK. Now it usually fails to find any messages with the selected data. eg search for all messages that have jv16 in either the subject or body text. I know there are several in my Thunderbird but they are no longer found by the find function (although they do exist as found by a manual search).

Once in a while, when I download email, Tbird fails accessing outlook.com. The message is in the attached image. If I redownload, it works. Any Ideas? P.S. this has happened with several versions of Tbird... Thanks.

I am no longer getting emails on Thunderbird on my computer though I do get them e.g. on my iPad, and I can email out. Is that a problem with Thunderbird or with Bell my service provider?

Later this week I'll need to copy a bunch of old emails to someone (some of them received by me and some sent by me). Does Thunderbird have such a feature or is the easiest way to print them on paper and resort to snail mail?

Hello, I have the latest version of Thunderbird. I have a problem for 2 weeks and every day I'm working to solve this problem. I have 17 accounts and Thunderbird shows me only 15 accounts. It hides 2 yahoo accounts. If I add other not yahoo account, there are no problems, I can add them. But if I add a yaoo account, Thunderbird doesn't show it/them on Unified folders. I see them only on All folders. Thanks for your help.

Retrieval using the IMAP4 protocol failed for the following message: 18241 comes up every time I use Hotmail. works OK on my G-Mail account. Started after I was forced to delete and reload the programme.

I have marked it as Not Junk multiple times, reset my settings to NOT use adaptive Junk, added my address books to the exception list, removed junk history, and none of it has worked. Help!

Couple months back had to restore computer. Wouldn't let me add my POP gmail account, said had to use IMAP. POP was no longer accepted or something to that effect. So I got IMAP set up. (Of course, I did save my old POP folder with some messages in it.) Ever since setting up the IMAP folder I only get maybe 30 messages each morning. Never more. Which is no way right. I've googled and tweeked the synchronization/storage settings and the server settings. Nothing works. I'll spend hours googling suggestions and trying them, then get frustrated and move on. Then a week or so later I go thru it all again. Nothing changes!! Still only get the very few emails each morning. About 30 or so minutes after the initial download of messages, I'll get a pop up saying imap connection lost. This is SO frustrating. I have no idea what to try next. I never had this kind of issue with any of my POP accounts. Any suggestions? I've probably already tried them but will certainly give it another try. Thanks! Lynn

no in setting i have the font or ink color to bk lack text so when i write it is supposed to be black so why do i see when ii click on the persons name after i send it do i see it as blue u ink text font i want all ink text black i so not like the blue and do not know how to stop it what do i do please help

I had to log in this morning, the first time as its automatic, and when i did all my folders and emails have gone. Where are they as there is important information in there which i need. The page layout is different too as i can't delete anything. HELP

With version 151.0.1, the content opens in a new window. This is less convenient. Is it possible to revert to the previous version's behavior? Thank you for your reply.

I'm trying to put thunderbird on my laptop, but after entering the password I keep getting an error message saying the password or settings must be wrong. But I've checked the incoming & outgoing settings, my password a few times now & I know everything is correct. So why do I keep getting this error message & is there a way to fix this? Hello. I am trying to add a new provider, which means adding a new account. When I click "Add new account" it takes me to a page that asks me to enter my existing account. Does this mean the currently running account or the new account?
