I keep getting a small box that appears in the upper right corner of my yahoo email home screen that says it is from Firefox and asks if I want to upgrade to the latest version of firefox. If so click here and the upgrade will be installed and your open website connections will still be open once it has been accomplished.

I'm nervous about just believing anything that is presented or pitched to me on the internet.

Upon accessing the firefox website just now under upgrades it says that upgrades to firefox will be made automatically as appropriate, but if I want to manually install an upgrade there is a way to do it.

I'm thinking that if upgrades are done automatically, why would I get this box asking me if I want to install the latest upgrade?

i had sidebar with a temp gpt chat, needed an url from my history, clicked ctrl-h and well my sidebar history opens, then i click back to the aichatbot and my chat is empty , i know it was temporary chat, but i did not expected to loose it by opening history.

Can i change the behavior ?

Yes, please don't give me the MS ctrl-alt-del type of response about cookies.... That was done many times before posting this. The website works fine in Brave. MS Edge well, let's not speak of it in public company shall we.

So, now what the heck is happening to FF???? I have contacted HF three times and they referred me to use other browsers other than FF. No, I DO NOT have multiple extensions nor themes. FF is bare bones but for uBlock. Hardware acceleration is off and MS Clear type is on. Anybody wanna fess up, who broke this????

hi, i cant find an option to dismiss the new sidebar. it's pointless and i can switch all the buttons off, but now there is just an empty space at the side of my browser. very annoying. i hate the AI integration and i will not be recommending this browser to anyone in the future because of it. I have spent years convincing others to make the switch to firefox, but what's the point if it ends up just as toxic and useless as every other browser. disappointing.

I have a quick question.

Our product uses Firefox, but on March 14, 2025, the root certificate expired, and now we can't use add-ons. If we update Firefox to a newer version, the add-ons start working again—but do you know how long the certificate in the new version will be valid?

I get the "for quick access, place your bookmarks..." where it was my bookmarks just yesterday. The star icon for creating a new one also doesnt work when I click it. Is there a bug going on or something?

On some websites, when logging in, my browser will suggest emails and passwords to log in. How do I turn this off? It's really annoying. It does it in private browsing windows as well. I've already deleted all passwords and disabled the password manager in Firefox, but it still happens for some reason.

I can not edit the domain address in the password save section. I can change user name and pw, but not the domain name/address. This is very annoying for sites like twitter that have now changed to x as it's not straight forward and prohibitive to my own saved information and it not allowing me to alter it in the EDIT section. I was having issues signing in to my ATT yahoo mail account I have had for years while using firefox. All of a sudden in late 2024 it was intermittent as to if I got in or not. I called ATT and the tech was aware and did not have a fix other then to log in on private browser which works. So here is what happens I hit the logo on my firefox face page, it sends me to my log on for yahoo filled in. Hit it, it sends me to att login hit that it goes to password hit that and if it works it brings up the verification page asking numbers sent to my phone. enter those numbers hit enter and I am on my e mail page. if when I hit ATT password and its not going to work it brings up a sorry its us not you try again from ATT if you hit retry it sends you to the open page for yahoo but not your mail. Some times it works next time it doesn't. Help

Maybe it is my spiritual guides because i obsses and have OCD and have too many tabs. But i started having tabs get deleted and i have no tabs on re-launch, tried to check, re-check this. I Am not sure if to reinstall because i don't want to lose passwords or setting/history (i don't remember now it should be saved) but usually reinstalling doesn't solve anything for me anyways...

I didn't install any new extensions when it started happening!

It doesn't happen every time so it is hard to troubleshoot, i cannot use browser with safe mode. I might test it couple times.
