Microsoft are again complaining about normal password login.

Today I have updated to Version 128.2.0esr (64-bit)

I have set outgoing server to StartTLS and OAuth2 and it is fine.

When i set OAuth2 in server settings and try to retrieve mail i get "Host contacted, sending login............" and it sticks at that point with no error messages from Thunderbird or Microsoft.

If i revert to "Normal Password" it is fine.

When microsoft first complained i turned on two step authorisation and the used their option (cannot remember what it was called now) to create a login password/key for thunderbird so that it would still work for "Normal Password" setting

How do we get round Microsoft's obstacles???>

Four das ago, all of a sudden, I could not retrieve or send emails anymore from my local provider. After many trials including complete deleting and reinstalling of TB, I tried to install a new email account which is perfectly working using webmail. TB recognised the account. However, I had to slightly modify the settings according to instructions of the provider. But then, the verification of the password came back with a failure and no new account could be installed. This was repeated many times without success. See attached pics (all is in German but should still show the situation clearly). The interesting thing is that trying to send an email results in a massage saying that the imap server of the provider cannot be contacted. However pinging the imap as well as the smtp server was not problem. Then I tried installing the same account using the same settings on two other machines - without any issues. All with latest Win 10 installed.

This all costed me and a friend of mine many hours and there is still no solution. Any ideas as to how to resolve this very annoying issue?

Using Thunderbird 128.2.0 . I have changed to Microsoft 2 part authentication, i appear to have done everything required to make Thunderbird work, however I am unable to send or receive any emails from hotmail.

The message on screen is Hotmail Host contacted sending login information....

Then nothing. If I go to Hotmail account the emails are there.

Any help would be appreciated.

I cannot seem to find what it is called, but only web design related stuff to scrolling.

I'm looking to change the behavior of scrolling bar, that lets me click a point and the page stops at that point, whereas right now, it keeps scrolling to the end/top of the page (based on the direction relative to the starting point). I find the behavior pretty annoying and something that used to be done by the buttons on either end point.

Is this a relic of the past or can i opt-in to it through the config

Hello support.

We have a job that runs every hour pinging a service. From 28th of August each hour we recieve several error emails.

Every querry that is re run completes normally. We can not figure out what the issue is.

We have checked everything on our side.

I'm totally fed up with this! I got this particular one trying to go to Amazon via a link from search but it's happening constantly with links from search and from other sites that I'm on. I am on Amazon a lot. I don't know what this behavior is, where it's coming from, why it's happening, or how to stop it. I'm at the point of just uninstalling Firefox because of it. I've tried the common fixes such as clearing cache and cookies as well as all saved data and it still persists. Firefox has been my default browser for a very long time but if this can't be stopped permanently, I'm done with it!

Only way I can gain access is through my stand alone computer. I no longer have a hand-held computer. So can we work through our problem via my computer. Otherwise, I don't know what to do. Hi, I have always used my Firefox browser to access my bank accounts, one being my private account and the other for my company account. I noticed however last week that I could not log in to my company account but I had no problem logging in to my private account. I contacted the bank ( Handelsbank in Sweden) who were surprised but said that this problem may occasionally arise with the Firefox browser. (However it has never happened before to me over the last 10 years!) Is this a temporary glitch or do I have to switch to another browser?!

None of these however work - i.e. I cannot access the next step!

I tried first time ever to download and install Firefox to access Intesasanpaolo Home banking.

when clicking in "Accesso Clienti" link under the intesasanpaolo.com, the usual authentication form does not display. Instead I get a weird graphical message error that seems to say "EOAC" (see attachment)

The same website Chrome is correctly operating.

Tried to unblock all cookies but did not help. anyone can suggest some workaround do this situation?

Yesterday I updated thunderbird to version 128.2.0esr. Since the update, notifications of new incoming emails do not appear to me even though I have display notifications checked in the settings please help me with this issue
