when i try to open firefox i get "the page isn't redirecting properly...". have had this problem before. tried reinstalling, clearing history, removing cookies etc. - nothing works. Sometimes it temporarily fixes itself but then comes back again. Help!

this has occurred before, somehow fixed itself for a while, then started again today. Have tried your troubleshooting, nothing works.

  • "Clear the Cache": Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Offline Storage (Cache): "Clear Now"
  • "Remove the Cookies" from sites causing problems: Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"

If clearing the cookies doesn't help then it is possible that the file cookies.sqlite that stores the cookies is corrupted.
Rename (or delete) cookies.sqlite and cookies.txt, if they exist, in the Profile Folder in case cookies.sqlite got corrupted.
