Firefox sideloaded to Nvidia Shield - Controller doesn't work! (It works fine on Vivaldi)

more options

Hello All, For some unknown reason, the browsers available on Play Store for Nvidia Shield are crap - so far I've not found any that allow me to easily sync bookmarks etc between Shield/PC/Mobile.

I therefore tested and found Opera and Vivaldi sideloaded to my Nvidia Shield TV Pro both worked perfectly.

I wanted to use test Firefox as I was about to use this as my main preferred PC/mobile browser, but first I wanted to check it all worked OK.

I was able to sideload and set up Firefox, but as soon as I open a webpage the Controller stopped working.

How can this be fixed please?

Please don't suggest a browser that's intended for AndroidTV on the Shield Play Store - they are all crap due to the reasons I mentioned, the controller with Right Joysick acting as mouse pounter works perfectly on Opera and Vivaldi, so I don't understand why this it doesn't work on Firefox.

I hope this can be fixed/resolved as I would like to use Firefox as an alternative.

Thanks and regards!

Andrew Henshaw.

Oh, in that case I will uninstall it and use Opera/Vivaldi as they both work well.

Hi Andrew

Mozilla does not design, build or test Firefox for Android to work with Nvidia Shield devices.
