Sentences randomly repeating in written text.
Hi there,
I've been having an issue lately where random text I've written is being inserted into other areas of my paragraphs in online text blocks. This mainly happens when I hop between paragraphs and try to edit content.
IE: If I wrote this statement and went back to correct something above, this sentence would "somehow" get added into the spot where I'm editing. It makes NO sense and is only happening within Firefox. Is there a way to fix it? I've noticed this happening on both Facebook and Indeed now too...so, I think it could be more of an issue with Firefox than certain sites.
The image is an example of the text being added in and reinserted. Thanks in advance for the help!

Start Firefox in Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the extensions ("3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Extensions) or if hardware acceleration or if userChrome.css/userContent.css is causing the problem.
- switch to the Default System theme: "3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Themes
- do NOT click the "Refresh Firefox" button on the Troubleshoot Mode start window
Hey Cor-El,
I've tried it in troubleshoot mode and still have the same issue. I think it may be a glitch in Facebook's script?
Is the inserted text possibly on the clipboard (Ctrl+V and Shift+insert) ?
Yes - That is the same conclusion I've reached too. That if I try to copy text into another area it repeats it. Is there a way to fix it? A potential solution I just found is adding a copy plain text add-on to the browser.
Does it still happen in a new profile? An easy way to test a new profile is to install Developer Edition and see if it happens there or refresh your existing profile. Make sure you stay signed out of your sync account when testing.
Refreshed the existing profile and still haven't had luck. I think it is a Facebook issue and not a Firefox issue. I appreciate the help in at least getting the issue diagnosed. Thanks!
Does it also happen with the ESR version (115)?
