Thunderbird doesn't scale on high DPI displays, needs Windows compatibility mode which resets on every update

On my Microsoft Surface Pro 7 running Windows 11 Thunderbird starts out very small and I set the high DPI compatibility mode on thunderbird.exe to System to fix this. The really annoying part is that every time Thunderbird updates (which seems fairly frequent) I lose that setting and have to do it over. Firefox does not have this issue.

Can Thunderbird fix it's high DPI display once and for all?
